Champville 61 - Riyadi 91
Sunday 30 March 2008 - 17:00 pm - Champville

The champions of Lebanon did not face any hurdles outclassing Champville team by 30 pts (91- 61) in the 13th last game within the Lebanese Basketball Championship games that was held at Maristes Stadium.
Champville import and best scorer Jarred Miller's early foul trouble placed Champville in a critical position especially when the players seemed somehow out of control and allowing Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut to play a very easy game especially from outside the semi-circle.
Reaching a 30 pts difference, almost all the fourth quarter was played with only the local players by both teams.

Revenge
Saturday 01 March 2008 - 5:00 pm - Fouad Chehab Stadium

Champville Player Jarred Merrill, and after a killing three points shot, grabbed all attention when he led his team to win over Sagesse at the last second of the game (95 – 93) and after overtime (83 – 83).
What the "Sagessians" were afraid of happened exactly as the game they faced against Champville was a “carbon copy” of their previous one in the first round; but this time, the result came up contradictory.
While Sagesse was leading by 17 points, Champville team managed to narrow the score to 81 – 83.
10 seconds left, Karl Sarkiss “kidnapped” the ball from Rony Fahed to score a precious 2 points at the last 3 or 4 seconds of the game (83 – 83).
Having the advantage and after a long pass, Sagesse’s American player Kevin Johnson dunked the ball once it was too late to announce victory and the game went to overtime and thus, gave Champville a precious win over Sagesse 95 - 93.

Best Scorers:
Jarred Merrill (30 pts – 11 rebounds – 5 assists)
Elie Estephan ( 17 pts)

Leg II: Unlucky start
Sunday 24 Jan 2008 - 5:00 pm - Champville Stadium
Champville team lost against Antranik - Beirut 77 - 73 during the 8th game of the Lebanese basketball Championship regular season - Leg II.
Leg I: Position 5 for Champville after losing for Anibal
Sunday 19 Jan 2008 - 5:00 pm - Champville Stadium

is it a curse? is it bad luck? or it wasn't our "night"?
Our league position  is very disappointing. We're not blaming bad luck, it's just driving us on to be determined all the way ... "We didn't play well, we underestimated Anibal even though we knew they have nothing to lose since they are last in the league position so far. In short, we didn’t get the job done. This is the reality right now.

The other reality is that we are half way there. We still have a lot of work to do and like coach Ghassan always says: "The blue Warriors never surrender".

Back to the game. While Anibal was leading in the first quarter 21 - 18, Champville team managed to end the 2nd quarter 48 - 43.
Anibal player Dany Barhoum knew how to deal with the third quarter and gave his team a lead 70 - 64.
At the last seconds of the game, Champville was leading by 2 points 96 - 94.
Jarred Merril missed a shot on the free-throw. The score is 97 - 94 for Champville. A three points shot placed Anibal face to face with Champville 97 - 97 who fouled Anibal's player Simon Daoud at the last second who gave his team a one point lead that ended the game favoring Anibal 98 - 97.

Champville performance in first half does not reflect actual position in the league
Sunday 10 Jan 2008 - 5:00 pm - Manara

After a high-quality “show” in the first 20 minutes piloted by Elie Estephan, Ghaleb Rida, Jarred Miller & Karl Sarkiss, Champville team failed to maintain their lead and thus, missing a precious win over the Lebanese Champions Al-Riyadi team 95 - 116 during the 6th game of the Lebanese Championship at Al Manara.

After Riyadi lead by 6 – 0, Champville team answered by 9 successive points and continued their three – points successful attempts on Riyadi’s basket by scoring 35 points against 25 for the hosts showing their worth defensive game ever.
In the third quarter, and after Riyadi’s coach Fouad Abouchacra carried out a zone defense 2 - 3 to stop Jarred Merril (30 pts, 12 rebounds, 6 assists)and Ghaleb Rida’s (20 pts, 3 rebounds, 4 assists) three point shots, our team couldn’t stay on the same rhythm and failed to score in the first 5 minutes.

Riyadi’s Lebanese – American player Joe Vogel was the turning point easing the Egyptian player ismail Ahmad on the inside game especially on the offensive and defensive rebounds.

Our 7th game for the 1st league will be against Anibal Zahle at Dick – el – Mehdi – Champville Maristes Stadium this coming Sunday at 5:00 pm.
